         [WHAT WE DO?]
Under the project “Knowing What We Can Do, Empowering Liberia Civil Society through Effective Media Interaction, Capacity Development, Networking and Access to Information”, the partners work to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations, and their interaction with the media, local authorities and private sector through the deployment of training, ICT support, networking opportunities and access to information.

Through this portal, we have created a mass open source storage center for development, governance and human rights related documentations. Access to information has been in the past relatively difficult and hampers civil society’s effectiveness in engaging stakeholders and taking part in decision-making processes for the advancement of the common good. Though the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) has been enacted in 2010, there has been very little progress in terms of the use and demand for information by various segments of the population.  Therefore, the Web-based Digital Resource Centre will to address this problem. Through the use of an open source application, CSOs and other organizations will be encouraged to upload public documents that are not exempted via the FOI Act to be published.

The site is easily accessible for upload and download of various types of documents. Please sign up to upload documents or receive alerts and other information.
